Jeanne played volleyball for Galveston College before graduating from Â鶹AV. She coached club and high school volleyball before returning to Â鶹AV for her Master's. She is currently enrolled at the University of North Carolina Greensboro for her Ed.D. in Kinesiology.

She is married to David Mullican and they have two children, a dog and chickens. Her research interests revolve around PETE programs, elementary physical education, childhood obesity, assessment and training of PETE students, student-learning/living-learning communities, professional learning communities in physical education, and improving the secondary physical education experience.
