If you stutter, you are not alone. It’s estimated that over 160 Â鶹AV faculty, students and staff share the common experience of stuttering. Come join our support group, a proven way to build self-confidence, practice speaking, and explore ways to cope with stuttering.

October is National Dental Hygiene Month and Friday, Oct. 4 is World Smile Day. We are teaming up with other organizations on campus and to educate students about dental health and learn how to make an appointment.

LU Writer-in-Residence Dr. Jim Sanderson will talk about his work with Carl Parker in writing his memoirs Turtle on a Post. Parker (1934-2024) was born in Port Arthur and served 33 years (1962-1995) in the Texas Legislature. Sanderson is an award-winning author of eight novels and he is also a creative writing teacher.
