Help Welcome New Cardinals to Campus

Students are back, and we’re ready to welcome them! During Week of Welcome, Student Affairs will host Ask-A-Card tables, and we’d love for you to join us in making our new Cardinals feel at home. Pick up a WOW button and wear it to show students that you’re ready to answer questions. Stop by Setzer Student Center, Room 230.

LU to Host Ribbon Cutting for New Intramural Field

Date: Monday, Aug. 18, 6:30 p.m.
Location: LU Intramural Field (next to Wayne A. Reaud Administration Building)

Join us as we celebrate a ribbon cutting for the new intramural field at Âé¶¹AV. The event will kick off with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 6:30 p.m., immediately followed by the LU Band's first practice of the 2025-26 football season around 7 p.m. The intramural field is located in between the Wayne A. Reaud Administration Building and the Science & Technology Building on LU's campus.

New Parking Permits Available

The parking permits for the 2025/2026 academic year are available to purchase online. Please complete the permit request and update vehicle details, if needed, through the Parking link on Self-Serve Banner. Select an option when ordering to either pick up permits in the Parking Office in Wimberly #118 or receive them by mail. Do You Know That You Have Access to Free Counseling Services?

As a full-time LU employee, you have access to up to six in-person or teletherapy sessions per issue, per family member, per plan year with a licensed therapist. These sessions address concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, substance use, and challenges within family or marital relationships. Public Notice of Upcoming Accreditation Review Visit by the ACEN for JoAnne Gay Dishman School of Nursing

The Âé¶¹AV JoAnne Gay Dishman School of Nursing wishes to announce that it will host a site visit for continuing accreditation of its BSN and MSN nursing programs by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). You are invited to meet with the site visit team and share your comments about the program in person at a meeting scheduled at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025, in Room 240 of the Mamie McFaddin Ward Building located at 976 E Lavaca Street, Beaumont 77705. Written comments are also welcome and should be submitted to the ACEN via email at public-comments@acenursing.org or to the ACEN office:
