LU to Host Ribbon Cutting for New Intramural Field
Date: Monday, Aug. 18, 6:30 p.m. Location: LU Intramural Field (next to Wayne A. Reaud Administration Building)
Join us as we celebrate a ribbon cutting for the new intramural field at Âé¶¹AV. The event will kick off with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 6:30 p.m., immediately followed by the LU Band's first practice of the 2025-26 football season around 7 p.m. The intramural field is located in between the Wayne A. Reaud Administration Building and the Science & Technology Building on LU's campus.

The general scholarship application for LU is now open and can be submitted at lamar.edu/myscholarships.

New Parking Permits Available
The parking permits for the 2025/2026 academic year are available to purchase online. Please complete the permit request and update vehicle details, if needed, through the Parking link on Self-Serve Banner. Select an option when ordering to either pick up permits in the Parking Office in Wimberly #118 or receive them by mail. Questions may be directed to the Parking Office at (409) 880-7275 or parking@lamar.edu.

LU Launches Cardinal Course Materials Program
Cardinal Course Materials (CCM) is an affordable textbook rental program through the Barnes and Noble Bookstore. Through this program, students can receive required textbooks, lab manuals, access codes and electronic books.
The CCM bundle will provide the needed learning materials at $24 per credit hour (added to your student account), saving students up to 35-50% on the cost of course materials. The cost can be paid by financial aid or by the student. If a student enrolls in a payment plan, this charge will be included in the payment plan calculations. Supplies are not included in this program and will need to be purchased separately.
Âé¶¹AV students are automatically enrolled in the program at the time of registration and will begin receiving emails about selecting their preferred delivery method.
