Connect to and develop networks that empower you to thrive at Â鶹AV and beyond.
Cardinal Communities (CC) provides group mentoring for first-year students. Each CC group consists of 40 students, a Student Success Mentor and a Student Success Ambassador based on their meta major. CC students gain information and build networks by connecting to fellow LU students, campus resources and services, their major/academic department, student organizations and more.
First-year students attend seven meetups during the first half of the fall semester where they learn about the following information:
This seminar helps students smoothly adjust to college life at Â鶹AV by exploring academic expectations, campus resources, and social opportunities.
Students learn how to explore academic programs and align their interests and strengths with potential career paths.
This session empowers students with essential financial skills, including budgeting, managing debt, and understanding financial aid.
Participants discover how to effectively find, evaluate, and use academic resources while accessing tutoring and support services.
This seminar promotes holistic wellness by addressing mental health, physical fitness, and self-care strategies for student success.
Students learn how to make the most of academic advising and create a personalized roadmap for their educational and professional goals.
I enjoy the Cardinal Communities meet up. It's nice to be a part of a group of people who can help you.
Peer mentors make their students feel cared for (mental and physical health) and inspire their students with positive words of affirmation.ÌýÌý
My peer mentor makes being an ASL major fun! She reassured me that I made the right decision in my major.
