Website Buttons

Website buttons are interactive UI elements that users click or tap to perform an action, such as navigating to a new page, submitting a form, or revealing hidden content.

Buttons are fundamental to user interfaces and the LU template offers several button options for web editors.

They are also available in small sizes, hollow, or extended widths.

Typical Button Uses

  • Calls-to-Action (CTAs):
They are often used to prompt users to take a specific action, such as "Sign Up," "Download," or "Shop Now".
  • Navigation
Buttons can link to other pages or sections of a website, helping to guide users through the site's content.
  • Content Manipulation
They can trigger actions like expanding or collapsing content, or playing videos.

How to Create a Button

  • Type your button text where you wish the button to appear on the page.
  • Select/highlight the text and click the link icon (chain) to create the link.

    Insert Link Chain Icon

  • Link type should be internal if it's an LU page or external if it points to an outside URL.
  • Click the link source chooser and select your CMS page.  If it's an external address, copy and paste the external URL into the source field.
  • In the same insert link window, scroll down to view the list of custom formats.
  • Choose your button size and color.  Multiple options can be selected at once.
